Steps specific to your OS

Windows 95, 98, NT, ME, 2000, XP

1. Click one of the "Download File" links below. When "File Download" dialog comes up, tell it to Open or Run the file. It will download and install the selected tool.

2. Click the intructions link for the downloaded tool. You will be forwarded to the intructions on how to use your Trial Package.

Data-Viewer requires installation of these Microsoft components:

• VBRun60: VB6 RunTime.
  It is already installed if MS Office or Visual Studio is installed.

• Mdac_Typ: MS DataAccess Components.
  Install this only if you plan to export to ODBC source.
  No need to install if Visual Studio is installed.
  Already present on Windows 2000 SP2 and on Windows XP.

1a. Select the tool/converter you are interested in from the table below, click it, and donwload it to your home directory.

2. In your home directory unzip and untar distribution file:
tar zxvf file-name.tar.gz

3. Directory is created that contains the Evaluation Package files. Please cd to this directory.

4. The tools were compiled on RedHat 8 Linuxusing GCC 3.2. Libraries are linked in statically.

AIX (UNIX)

Trial versions of Data Converters for AIX are available upon request.
